Near Mint Condition WW1 era British Infantry
Officer's Sword, Sold |
A stunning King George 5th / WW1 era British infantry officer's
sword.

Engraved to retailer G E Carrington, Old Brompton, Kent, this is
about as good a condition George V sword as you can hope to buy.

The 32 1/4 inch blade is in very good condition and with superb
grey quality etching. Tiny patch of age near point, but overall
an excellent condition blade and firm in the hilt. The hilt also
very, very good with virtually no issues. The faux black fishskin
grip and associated grip wire bindings are superb. The leather field
service scabbard is aged, but overall in good shape. The sword sheathes
and draws well. The sword knot is probably a replacement.
