British Royal Navy Master at Arms Sword,
Sold |
In superb, serving officer use condition, a British Royal Naval
Master at Arms sword.

The black gripped, plain bladed version of the Royal Navy officer's
sword, for a Master at Arms. There is no maker's name to this sword,
but it is of the very best quality, Wilkinson standard, and in such
good condition, it would be a perfect choice for a serving officer.

The 31 1/4 inch plain blade is in very good condition, some very
light markings from previous use, but nothing to worry about. The
hilt retains its gilt and is generally in very good condition, as
is the black fishskin grip and twisted grip wire bindings; some
slight movement in one of the smaller strands of the later, but
so very slight. The leather and gilt metal scabbard in good condition.
The folding guard works well and locates properly onto the retaining
pin of the top scabbard locket. The sword sheathes and draws very
well.
A very high quality sword. Please quote item reference K38 (1167).
