French WW1 Cavalry Officer's Sword, Sold |
In good overall condition, an 1896 model WW1 French cavalry officer's
sword from early World War One, dated November 1914.

A good condition example of a French cavalry officer's sword, 1896M
The 35 inch blade is in good condition though with staining, and
the tip end has struck something (it is a little bent but this should
easily be rectified if desired). Only a tiny movement in the hilt,
the hilt also good. The grip in good order but a small graze under
the pommel; nothing much. Steel scabbard in good order, though stained
(can be cleaned). The sword sheathes and draws well.
A very good example for only £? (too late, now sold). Please
quote item reference J95 (1156). Further / full sized images available
upon request.
