Sales enquiries

Serial number 86059 for 1963, this ERII British infantry officer's sword is unique in that the scabbard, which we are sure is the original one made for the sword, is the old style browned steel type.

The plain except for Wilkinson logo and serial number blade 32 1/4 inch blade is in good condition, some small patina spots but not too many. Blade firm in the hilt. The hilt in good to very condition, some marks to lower part of guard and age freckles to the inside of the hilt. The grip and its associated twisted wire bindings are good. The scabbard is in good condition, the browning very dark (darker than say Victorian era browned steel scabbards); one of the two throat screws has been lost and consequently the sword is a little loose in the scabbard.

Please quote item reference number J08 (1114). Further / large images available upon request.
