1800's Napoleonic British Infantry Flank
Officer's Sabre / Sword, sold
In good condition, a very nice post 1800 Napoleonic British infantry
flank officer's sabre.
This style (a shorter version of the 1796P light calvary sabre)
was the preferred choice for British infantry flank officers. With
the etching still clear, complete with 1801 to 1816 British Royal
Coat of Arms.
The 29 1/4 inch curved blade is in good condition (a little patina
/ light pitting towards the point) and firm in the hilt. The steel
hilt also very good. The leather and twisted grip wire bindings
are excellent for the age of this piece, well above average. Yours
for only £x (too late, now sold - original sales price divulged
for small fee). Please quote item reference H34 (1036). Further
/ full sized images available upon request.
