Sales enquiries

This is one of the first of the 1864 models, which adapted versions were still in use by the German artillery of World War One. But, as we said, you can tell this is a very early version due to the regimental markings style / format used on the cross hilt.

These short sword were worn off the back of the belt, so that the gunner could still crouch down and yet have an effective light edged weapon ready to hand. The feint etching of this quite rare version can still be seen on the 48 cm blade, which is in good condition and firm in the hilt. The brass hilt and original scabbard are equally good. The sword sheathes and draws well. A very good price at only £xxx. Please quote item reference number H04 (T21). Further / full sized images upon request.
