George V British Rifle Regiment Officer's Presentation Sword

Sales enquiries

A lovely sword in great condition, etched on the blade "Presented to R. S. M., S. E. Ings By the W.O's, and Sergts of the Rifle Depot". We have not researched Regimental Sergeant Major Ings, so there is plenty of scope for this.

The 32 1/2 inch blade with presentation script, George V cypher, slung, bugle and sword cutler's name "Pulford & Sons 65 St James's Street London SW1" is in very good condition for its age and firm in the hilt. The hilt nice and bright, a little scuffing / light scratching but not too much. The black fishskin grip and associated twisted grip wire bindings are very good. Complete with original black leather sword knot. Plated steel scabbard overall good. The sword sheathes and draws well enough.

A very good item with full provenance for just £500. Please quote item reference G57 (964). Further / full sized images available upon request.
