ERII British Army Officer's (Wilkinson) Sword, sold

In very good parade ground condition, a Wilkinson made British infantry officer's sword.

Serial number 114986 for 1983, this is a former issued (British MOD) issued sword with Nato markings to the blade's ricasso and the inside of the hilt. It is in parade ground condition so may suit a serving officer provided they are happy with these markings (they can be removed but will leave some indication they were there).

The 32 1/2 inch blade is in very good condition, plain except for the Wilkinson logo etching, NATO / MOD marks to the obverse, plus serial number to the spine. Some very small specs to the blade nearer the point. Blade is firm in the hilt. The hilt is in very good condition, the grip complete with twisted grip wire bindings also very good. Completed with plated steel scabbard, also very good, the sword sheathes and draws well.
