1827 Pattern Victorian British Rifle Regiment Officer's Sword, Sold

In very good condition, the blade in exceptional condition, a good Victorian 1827P British Rifle Regiment officer's sword.

The photos do the talking, the blade is virtually as new, except for some rubbing / staining near the tip.

The 32 1/2 inch blade is in very good condition, the etching almost as good as the day it was made. Blade firm in the hilt, the hilt generally very good though light pitting / aging. The fishskin grip and twisted grip wire bindings are good. The steel scabbard a little dinged and pitted here and there but still well above average. The sword sheathes and draws very well.
