WW2 F-S Fighting Knife 2nd Pattern by Wilkinson Sword, Sold

A World War 2 Fairbairn Sykes 2nd pattern (1941 to 1943) British commando officer's fighting knife by Wilkinson Sword.

A private purchase (officer's) British commando's WW2 2nd Pattern F-S fighting knife, made between 1941 and 1943. The 6 1/4 inch blade with "Y section" ricasso (shows the blade was hand ground) is very, very sharp; we are not sure if it was last sharpened during WW2 or after. Blade bearing the remains of the Wilkinson Sword logo once side, the F-S Fighting Knife logo the other, firm in the hilt. Hilt good, leather sheath aged. Full sized images available upon request.
