Victorian Scottish Young Man's Dirk, engraved
A very good young man's Victorian Scottish dirk with finely etched
blade in very good condition.
This is a very well made youth's Scottish dirk. The 22.5 cm tapering
blade, some small amounts of patina, notched along the back and
etched with thistles over its entire length on one side, and with
foliage over the other, ebonised baluster grip (old split) cut with
trelliswork set with silver studs on the outside, and silver mounts
including pommel set with a piece of faceted glass against foil,
in original wood-lined black leather scabbard with silver mounts
engraved with thistles, the by-knife and fork en suite, all in good
to very good condition, overall length 33cm when sheathed.
