George V British Royal Navy Officer's Wilkinson
Sword, sold |
In good condition, a King George 5th British Royal Naval officer's
sword, serial number 59089 for 1921.

A good Wilkinson made British Royal Navy officer's sword and scabbard.
We have not researched the original owner; the Wilkinson sales ledger
still exists and searches are available from 10 GBP to obtain the
record for the associated serial number.

The well etched 31 1/2 inch blade has some patina and a couple
of small nicks but is in overall good condition. Blade firm in the
hilt. The guard with a little grubby oxidation, would clean up if
desired. The fishskin grip also grubby and has the appearance of
having been held a lot; again, this should clean up is desired.
The twisted grip wire bindings are all good. The folding guard section
works well and locates as it should onto the scabbard locking pin.
The scabbard is in good general condition. The sword sheathes and
draws well.
A very good price for a researchable Wilkinson sword. Further /
full sized pictures available upon request. Please quote item reference
number E38 (780).
