1912 Pattern George 5th / WW1 British-Cavalry
Officer's Sword, sold
In quite good condition, a WW1 / George V British cavalry officer's
sword and scabbard.
The 35 inch blade has patina spots and areas but is sound and strong,
the etching still visible. Form in the hilt, the front bowl guard
is in good condition, the inner bowl is rusted (stabilized) but
not unattractive. The faux fishskin grip and twisted grip wire bindings
are in good condition. The leather field service scabbard is in
good condition but the suspension section has been stuck down over
a repair. But, a very attractive sword for display purposes and
a bargain price. Further / full sized pictures available upon request.
