ERII British Royal Naval Officer's Wilkinson Sword

Sales enquiries

In very good condition, suitable as a serving officer's dress sword. The original officer owner's name etched on the blade but this can be etched over if desired. Wilkinson Sword serial number 130388 for 2002.

The 31 inch blade is in very good order; there are some slight scratches / scuff marks and a small amount of etching discoloration, but it still is stunning. Blade firm the hilt and the locking pin mechanism works fine. The hilt has virtually all its original gilt and the fishskin grip along with its associated twisted grip wire bindings are very good. The sword knot in also very good; one small wayward thread. The gilt metal fittings and leather scabbard are very good, some scuff marks (can be fairly easily improved), the sword sheathes and draws very well.

Excellent value. Further / full sized pictures available upon request. Please quote item reference number D88 (764).
