Sales enquiries

A well above average, almost parade ground condition example of this stunning pattern of cavalry officer's sword. Made by Wilkinson Sword with a serial number of 65451 (for £10 you can find out the original purchaser of the sword, see here; Wilkinson Sword Sales Ledger / Customer Identification).

The 35 inch blade is in very good condition, some scuffing to the point section, well etched and firm in the hilt. The plated steel hilt is also in very good condition, a little tarnish to the top of the pommel (can be removed) and light scuffing hear and there (a good metal polish will probably shine it up if required). The simulated fishskin grip is good, a little faded, the twisted grip wire bindings also good. The plated steel scabbard has some ageing and marking but is overall very good, and again, it should shine up with a good metal polish if desired. The sword sheaths and draws well.

A rare well above average example and a bargain. Further / full sized pictures available upon request. Please quote item reference number D13 (696).
