1821 / 1896 Patt. Edward 7th Cavalry Officer's
Sword, VGC, sold |
In very good condition, a British Edward 7th cavalry officer's
1821/1896 pattern cavalry sword.

In very good condition, 35 3/8 inch etched blade, some marks /
very small patina spots towards the point but nothing much, firm
in the hilt. The steel ladder hilt in very good condition, the black
fishskin and twisted grip wire bindings excellent too. The steel
scabbard with some patina spots, but still very good for an antique.
The sword sheathes and draws very well. This is a well above average
example and well worth £425. Full sized / additional photos
available upon request. Please quote item reference number D12 (714)
