Wilkinson Sword ERII British Army General
Officer's Mameluke, Sold |
In near mint condition (will probably clean to mint condition),
a Wilkinson Sword made ERII British Army general officer's mameluke,
with steel dress scabbard.

Wilkinson serial number 100370 for 1972. This is a rare chance
for a collector or serving general officer to get a Wilkinson Sword
general's mameluke in very good condition; with some time, effort
and a good metal cleaner, this sword should shine to mint condition.
There is just some slight discoloration to the steel scabbard, and
very slight scuff marks from the blade sheathing in and out of the
scabbard.

The 31 1/2 inch blade is in very good condition, so tiny specs
towards the point, some light scuffing, but otherwise fine and firm
in the hilt. The hilt is in very good condition, the ivorine grips
and gilt rosettes all present and good. The steel scabbard is very
good, some slight age discoloration which a good metal polish would
improve. The sword sheathes and draws very well. These general's
mameluke are not easy to come by, so ours is a very good price and
investment indeed. Please quote reference number D03 (737). Full
sized / further images are available upon request.
