Sold Item Notice

Please note; we 100% guarantee this is an authentic WW2 Imperial Japanese non-commissioned officer's katana; be warned, the vast majority sold on the Internet are reproductions; again, this is 100% authentic, guaranteed. This Kokura arsenal stamped shin gunto is made very desirable because of the very good condition of the blade and the fact the blade and saya (scabbard) have matching serial numbers (89039).

The 66.5 cm blade (excludes habaki) is in exceptionally good condition and firm in the hilt. The hilt with correct fuchi markings is also very good, the original copper coloured paint having been worn away over time to reveal the base aluminium hilt. The sword sheathes and draws perfectly, the locking pin works well. A well above average example and only £600. Further / full-sized pictures available upon request. Please quote item reference number C56 - (639).
