From the early stages of the US Civil, a very good condition Ames
1840M light artillery sabre.
 

Rare to find a true US Civil War artillery sabre outside the USA.
This one must have seen some action as it was manufactured and then
accepted by the US Army in 1862 with plenty of the war to go, US
inspector's mark "W.C." for inspector William Cadwell.
What makes this sabre even more collectible and valuable is its
condition; it is in very good condition.


Guaranteed 100% authentic. The 32 inch blade is in very good shape
and firm in the hilt. The hilt retains some gilt. The leather grip
and twisted grip wire bindings are good and original. The sturdy
steel scabbard is also in good shape. The sabre sheathes and draws
