1897 Model Dutch Infantry Officer's Sword, sold

In very good condition, a Dutch 1897M infantry officer's sword, scabbard and sword knot (Infanterie officierssabel m1897).

30 1/2 inch pipe back quill point blade in very good condition, marked "Yzerhouwer" and "PDL" for Paul D Lunceschloss of Solingen (maker). Firm in the hilt, the hilt in very good order, as is the grip and original sword knot. The steel scabbard also very good. The blade sheathes and draws very well. A well above average example.
