The 32 3/4 inch blade has a lot of patina and the etching is often difficult to see clearly, but overall is good / sound and firm in the hilt. The hilt with some age but good. The grip with age / wear but sound, as are the twisted grip wire bindings. The leather scabbard and straps are aged but sound. The sword sheathes and draws well.

The thistles make this quite a unique sword and well priced at just £? (too late, now sold). Please quote item reference AE48 (0863). Further / full sized images available upon request.
