WW2 British Commando's F-S Fighting Knife
1st Pattern, sold. |
In well used active service condition, a WW2 British Commando's
F-S Fighting Knife 1st Pattern by Wilkinson Sword.

If you want pristine, never been out of the UK, then this one is
not for you. If you want a 1st Pattern that saw active combat, welcome!
The sheath is a later addition, perhaps by the commando himself,
but the F-S knife is 100% period and authentic.
The 6 1/8 inch (156mm) service length blade is aged and worn (etching
worn / feint) and a little battered but sound and firm in the hilt.
The hilt is also well worn but good, all tight. The later replacement
sheath has age and wear but is good; the dagger is very tight when
fully sheathed. This Fairbairn Sykes has been around, probably Italy
and France. Fairbairn Sykes 1st patterns often go for £2000
at auction, which makes our prices of only £? (too late, now
sold) the bargain of the year. Please quote item reference AE42
(0848). Full sized photos available upon request.
