Sales enquiries

Dated 1865, this is a guaranteed authentic 1860 Model US Civil War Cavalry Trooper's Sabre made by Roby of Massachusetts.

The 34 7/8 inch blade is in very good condition and firm in the hilt. The hilt a little dull with age but good. The grip leather has lost a little of its surface, but not a lot, although most of the grip wire is gone. Steel scabbard zealously "cleaned", a couple of kinks one side, another the other, a rust hole near the chape / drag, a small split along one seam near the lower suspension ring, but overall sound. The sabre sheathes and draws a little loosely but well enough for most people.

Nice authentic example. A snip at £? (too late, now sold). Please quote item reference AE18 (0683). Further / full sized images available upon request.
