WW1 Prussian German 89M Infantry Officer's Sword, Sold

In good condition, a WW1 Prussian German 89 / 1889 Model Infantry Officer's Sword by WK&C.

Plain bladed but no state marks, so a private purchase by an officer.

The 31 3/4 inch plain twin fullered blade is in good condition, some age / light pitting (mostly around / towards the forte), a little loose in the hilt. The brass hilt with age (dulling / colouring), the fishskin grip with age and wear, the twisted grip wire bindings present and correct. The steel scabbard with some age / light rusting here and there. The sword sheathes and draws well.
