French Model 1822 Artillery Officer's Sword, Klingenthal, Sold

In good condition but with some hilt damage / repair, a French Model 1822 Artillery Officer's Sword, Coulaux & Cie Klingenthal.

Quite rare to find these marked to Klingenthal. This one has seen some service and some damage to the hilt (brazed repair and some disfiguration, which is so often the norm with brass hilts).

The 33 5/8 inch blade is in very good condition and firm in the hilt. The hilt as previously described. The hardwood grip mostly good but with wear / age; the grip wire still present thankfully. The steel scabbard in good condition; the sword sheathes and draws well.
