Serial number 99032 which places this sword around 1891 which, with the owner's initials "H T J" to the blade hopefully will allow the original owner / officer to be identified (by referring to the Army List for 1892 and looking for those initials - most likely a newly commissioned officer).

The 32 3/4 inch blade is in very good condition, some grazing / scuffing / wear, firm in the hilt. Fishskin grip and twisted grip wire in very good condition. The steel scabbard is good but with age / patina here and there; the scabbard has lost one throat screw. The sword sheathes and draws well.

A truly lovely example with good research potential. Easily worth £? (too late, now sold). Please quote item reference number AD05 (0395). Further / large images available upon request.
