WW1 British Infantry Officers Sword, Oldfields
Liverpool, For Sale |
In good condition, a WW1 British Infantry Officers Sword, etched
to Oldfields Liverpool.

The etching very feint, but the retailer's name "Oldfields,
Liverpool" just visible. The sword has a non-plated steel hilt
and has all the signs of having been made in Sheffield, especially
given the bulbous nature of the guard and etching type.

The 32 inch blade is good and firm in the hilt, but the etching
very feint. The steel hilt is very good, the grip also good. The
leather scabbard, sword knot (remains of) and belts are all very
aged. The sword sheathes and draws well.
A very nice example, especially with the Liverpool connection.
A great price, just £375. Please quote item reference AC89.
