Victorian 1889P British Infantry Staff Sergeant's
In very good condition, a Victorian 1889P British Infantry Staff
Sergeant's Sword by Robt Mole.
Much scarcer than officers' swords, a Victorian 1889P British Infantry
Staff Sergeant's Sword by Robert Mole, Maker, Birmingham.
The 32 inch blade is etched with maker's details and bears a number
of acceptance and other punch marks. Blade in very good condition
and firm in the hilt. The hilt with blue oxidation / tarnish to
insert areas but otherwise very good. The black fishskin grip has
wear but generally is very good, as are the twisted grip wire bindings.
A great, well above average example, sadly with no scabbard (though
these do come up). A perfect collector's piece for £? (too
late, now sold). Please quote item reference number AC28 (0251).
