In overall very good condition, a George VI Royal West Kent Regiment
infantry officer's sword; Col J B Wilson.
 

The Wilkinson Sword of Colonel John Bainbridge Wilson, late of
Royal West Kent Regiment and ultimately the British Intelligence
Corps. Serial number 68920 for 1950, complete with original West
Kent Regiment brass badge plate.

The 32 1/4 blade is in overall very good condition, some wear,
etc. of course, with initials "J. B. W." to the name tablet
section. Blade firm in the hilt. The steel hilt generally very good,
a light rusting / patina to the inside. The (faux) fishskin grip
and twisted wire bindings are in good shape. Leather sword knot
and field service scabbard / belts with age / wear but sound. The
sword sheathes and draws well.
Good sword, firm provenance, plenty of research potential, yours
