British ERII Royal Army Service Corps Officer's Wilkinson Sword, sold

In very good condition, a British ERII RASC Royal Army Service Corps Officer's Wilkinson Sword.

Serial number 9564 for 1969, in near or in parade ground condition.

The 33 1/2 inch blade is in very good condition, some sheath scuffing, some tiny spots of surface oxidation, nothing much; towards the point there is some slight staining (a metal cleaning polish may well remove this). Blade firm in the hilt. The hilt good but with a small section of plating loss on the inside of the langet. The faux fishskin grip with some small signs of wear, the twisted grip wire bindings in good order. The leather sword knot and field service scabbard both generally good. The sword sheathes and draws well.
