French 1816 Model Light Cavalry Trooper's Sabre, Sold

In overall good condition, a rare French 1816 Model Light Cavalry Trooper's Sabre, dated August 1819

With Klingenthal maker's inscription dated August 1819 to the spine, and with the correct poinçons for Jean Joseph Cécile Bureau, Jean-Georges Bick, and François Louis Lobstein.

The 36 inch blade is in very good condition and firm in the hilt. The hilt good overall with poinçons and troop / trooper stamp (K97) to the quillon finale. The leather grip overall good but with a small missing patch to the top. The twisted grip wire binding pretty much all gone.
