Very good condition; the potential for almost new condition. This sword could use some metal finishing polish such as Simichrome to bring it into absolute ceremonial dress condition, ideal for a serving highland infantry officer. There is some slight bending to one of the back bars, but not really noticeable. Other than that, this sword could easily be restored with a little basic careful TLC to almost as new condition.

32 1/4 Inch blade in very good condition and firm in the hilt. The hilt with some aging, mostly tarnishing, a little (literally) spot of corrosion at the base of the basket. The grip in very good condition. The royal blue and scarlet red liner plus tassel in very good condition. The plated steel scabbard with some aging commensurate with the hilt. If you were to remove the basket liner and then use a good metal finishing polish, the hilt and scabbard would come up to new / near new condition. The sword sheathes and draws well.

A rare chance to get a legendary Wilkinson for only £? (too late, now sold). Please quote item reference number AA51 (0038).
