Late 18th Century Greek Ottoman Silver Yataghan, sold

A well above average silver hilted Ottoman yataghan, most likely Greek, circa 1790.

An exceptionally fine silver with niello recess work hilted yataghan. The 25 inch wootz type steel blade has engravings both sides, including maker's mark. There is some slight damage or rather wear to the silver work, but generally very good condition hilt. Complete with scabbard. A beautiful piece for only £? (too late, now sold); just search Google for these and fine one with such a quality hilt and see what you have to pay elsewhere! Further / full sized pictures available upon request.
