19th Century Javanese Keris / Kris, Sold

A clearly old but good condition Javanese keris / kris with golden metalwork sheath.

A lovely old keris with very well made but simple blade and rustic hilt; I suspect the sheath is a much more recent replacement but it was made for the keris because of the hole shape and size. The 11 1/2 inch slender blade clearly took some skilled making. Well worth £? (too late, now sold). Item reference A66 (461). Full sized images available upon request.
