19C Caucasian / Armenian Curved Point Kindjal / Bebut, sold

Sometimes referred to as a Bebut, this is a Caucasian military curved point kindjal, 19th Century, probably Armenian, in good condition.

44.1 cm tri-fullered blade with maker's mark (almost certainly Armenian script), this is actually a curved point kindjal rather than a bebut, but is often referred to as the later. The blade in very good condition, period sharpened of course; these weapons were not for show. The hardwood hilt also in very good order; blade firm in hilt. Additional / full sized photos available upon request. Item reference number is A56 - Tube 15.
