Very Good Wilkinson 1897P ERII British Infantry Officer's Sword (sold)

In very condition, an ERII British rifle regiment officer's sword marked to Wilkinson.

Serial number 102554 for 1974, this fine Wilkinson Queen Elizabeth 2nd infantry officer's sword is pretty much in parade ground condition, though a little aged. I have no doubt with a little metal fining polish, a replacement sword knot and some boot polish on the frog loop, any serving officer would be glad to carry this sword.

The 32 1/2 inch blade is great and firm in the hilt. The hilt very good though could use some polish. Grip in very good order. Sheathes and draws well in its leather field service scabbard. The sword knot is worn and broken in one place. Further / full-sized pictures available upon request. Item reference number 940
