British ERII Wilkinson Rifle Regiment Officer's
Sword, sold |
In pristine condition, a Wilkinson Queen Elizabeth 2nd British
rifle regiment officer's sword.

In near new if not new condition, certainly in parade ground condition,
this lovely Wilkinson made ERII British rifle regiment officer's
sword is as good as they get now that Wilkinson Sword Ltd are no
more. Faced with what is available new on the market and this 1969
made (serial number 95993) "Wilkie", I would take the
Wilkie any day, whether as a collector or as a serving rifle regiment
officer. Why is this 1969 made sword so good? Because they still
made quality swords in 1969 and the person who bought it then was
a collector, so it has not been used.

The 32 1/2 inch blade is exceptional, of course firm in the hilt,
the hilt bright and good almost as the day it was made, the black
fishskin grip and twisted grip wire bindings are in exceptional
condition, the black leather field scabbard looks new, the sword
draws and sheathes well, of course. Sword knot in very good order.
Your chance to grab a piece of British history marked to Queen Elizabeth
II. Further / full-sized pictures available upon request. Item reference
number 904 (388).
