1899 Model Swiss Cavalry Trooper's Sword
(sold) |
In very good condition, an 1899 model Swiss cavalry trooper's
sword, complete with scabbard and knot.

For me this is one of if not the most attractive and functional
cavalry swords ever made anywhere in the world. This one marked
"Waffenfabrik Neuhausen" with the sword number 9432, complete
with original nickel plated steel scabbard and sword knot.

The 33 1/4 inch twin fullered blade is in very good condition and
is firm in the hilt. The plated steel hilt is lovely in every respect;
such style, such hand protection, such function. The leather finger
loop is still in place. The fishskin grip a little faded but in
very good order, as are the twisted wire grip bindings. The sword
knot in good order too. A very good and well above average package.
I think this is one of the best swords anyone can buy, truly. My
item reference number is 850 (351)
