Sales enquiries

In very good condition, a George 5th Gieves made Royal Navy midshipman's dirk, with etching along most of the blade both sides and to a named officer, D. R. Minett (unresearched). The 18 inch blade in very good order and firm in the hilt. The hilt and grip also good; the fishskin and twisted grip wire bindings in nice condition. Sheathes well and the licking mechanism works fine. The knot has some fraying and a weak area but is overall good. It is rare to find these dirks in such good condition. Further / full sized images upon request. My item reference number is 815.
