1885 Pattern British Cavalry Trooper's Swordimage 677 2

Sold Item Notice

Made by Weyersberg, Kirschbaum & Co of Solingen (British makers of the time could not produce enough, so the War Department went to Prussia to get what they needed). This is a very good 1885P with plenty of markings to the blade and scabbard. The 34.5 inch blade is firm in the hilt, the hilt nicely patinated, the grips still good (a little bulging one side), the scabbard aged but solid, the sword sheathes very well. Further / full sized photos available upon request. Item Ref: 677 (312).
