British 1864 Pattern Cavalry Trooper’s
Sword Sold |
Very rare and in good condition, maker marked 1864 pattern British
light cavalry trooper's sword and scabbard.
Not to be confused with the later 1882/85/90 pattern cavalry swords,
this scarce 1864 pattern has the all telling double knot slits in
the hilt. Stamped by the maker "Mole Birmingham" on both
the 90.5 cm blade's spine and the mouthpiece of the scabbard, these
swords are rarely available.
The sword generally is in good condition with no movement or looseness
anywhere. Further pictures available upon request.
