1822 Pattern British Infantry Staff / General
Officer’s Sword, sold |
Good condition British Infantry General or Staff Officer's Sword
with etching remaining.

This almost certainly Victorian (1837 to 1845 for this so called
"1822" pattern) infantry staff officer's / general's sword
is in generally good condition with working folding guard, good
condition fishskin grip with twisted wire bindings firm and intact,
plus steel field service scabbard in good condition. The "levee"
(smaller officer's width) 83 cm blade has the original etching still
visible, including the supplier's / maker's name "Parfitt Roberts
& Pafitt St Sames St London)" on the ricasso. I would be
prepared to accept £350 for this sword. Further pictures available
upon request. My item reference number is 155(20)
