The 33 inch blade has feint traces of its original blue and gilt etching but although aged and worn with some light age pitting is in good condition and firm in the hilt. The brass gilted hilt / guard has age and wear, but is still good. The chequered ebonized grip is worn but also good. The steel with brass fittings scabbard, again, aged / worn but good. The sword sheathes and draws well.
