1897 pattern = still the current regulated sword for British infantry officers. Serial number 90102 for 1966. Virtually parade ground condition.
The 32 1/4 well etched blade is in very good condition save for some inert patina patches towards the tip. Blade firm in hilt. The plated steel hilt / guard with ERII cypher to the cartouch is in very good condition (we have not checked under the tight sword knot strap). Black faux fishskin grip and twisted grip wire bindings both in very good condition. Leather sword knot and field service scabbard in very good condition for age. The sword sheathes and draws well. Faux leather carry bag in very good order.
