Dated to August 1883, regimentally marked “2 P. M 85”; 2nd Battalion Perth(shire) Militia, weapon 85.

The 18 inch blade is in very good condition, a very feint light speckling for half of one side, firm in the hilt. The brass hilt and grip for a drummer (steel for a bugler) is very good. The leather and brass scabbard is aged but good. The sword sheathes and draws well. The leather frog is aged but sosund and a real bonus.
Very nice regimentally marked example and with its original suspension frog. Low low price; £400. Please quote item reference ZY36. Further / full sized images available upon request. Box 1861 68x12x12 (1.54).
