This 1859p British Royal Navy Cutlass bayonet is correctly marked with the BM bow and arrow Trademark for maker Bleckmann, plus British acceptance crown over S (for Solingen) over 8. In stores (very good, unused) condition, just ssome patina and age caked dust etc. in the mortise slot.



The 26 3/4 inch blade is in veery good condition, some sheathing etc. wear, firm in the hilt. The steel hilt is in good condition; the guard cleaned but age patina in various places. Grip good, some scuffing to edges. The steel fittings and leather scabbard is aged but good; the steel with a tarnish / patina, the leather some surface cracks. The sword sheathes and draws well. The Enfield Rifle locking pin mechanism a little stiff.
