No maker’s / retailer’s name and a generic brass proof stud, so likely circa 1917 when World War One was at a critical point and such detail took last place to production / supply. Going on the etching alone, likely Birmingham made.

The 32 1/2 inch supremely well grey etched blade is in very good condition and firm in the hilt. The steel guard with a pleasing bronze tarnish (can be cleaned bright) is in good shape. The black fishskin grip with some wear but good, as are the twisted grip wire bindings. The leather field service scabbard has some wear / scuffs, etc., but is pretty good besides. The sword sheathes and draws well.
In well above average condition, yours for £400. Please quote item reference ZX57. Further / full sized images available upon request. Box 2037 117 x 16 x 16 (2.30).
