Late 29th Century or early 20th Century, the acid test proves this antique Burmese dha is silver (the outer layers of the hilt and scabbard). With later scabbard inscription “Presented by Mr Firoz Khan to Cpt Kyaw Sein G.E. of No 2 Bur Wks Sec. Meiktila”.
The 23 1/4 inch traditionally forged steel blade is in good condition and firm in the hilt. The sterling silver hilt with (probably not silver) fine filigree work is in good condition but with some age and wear. Silver (over wooden base) scabbard with matching filigree and inscription in good condition (with age / wear). The sword sheathes and draws well.
Genuinely authentic example at a genuinely low price of £600. Please quote item reference ZX19. Further / full sized photos available upon request. Box 2006 96 x 17 x 17 (1.91).
