No maker’s or retailer’s name, but excellent Victorian craftsmanship (just look at the detail to the hilt / guard). Likely refurbished at some point and very well done; in pretty much parade ground condition. NB The slight white effect of the hilt cutaway areas is due to the flash catching unpolished steel / old cleaning polish (you don’t really see it with the naked eye).



The 32 1/2 inch blade is in very good condition and firm in the hilt. The hilt / guard very good. The fishskin grip with a little wear but still good; the associated twisted grip wire bindings good but with a little movement. The replacement sword knot is very good. The plated steel scabbard also very good. The sword sheathes and draws well.
