In good condition, a WW1 British Cavalry Officer’s Wilkinson Sword, Scabbard and Knot

Serial number 46891 for 1915. With the original steel scabbard (the field service leather scabbard that would have also been bought with the sword is no longer).



The 35 inch blade has age but is good and firm in the hilt. The plated steel hilt with some plating spot / patch lost to light rust, predominantly along the edges, otherwise good. The fishskin grip and twisted grip wire bindings good for age. The leather sword knot aged but sound / good. The plated steel scabbard good. The sword sheathes and draws well if a little loosely.
